Our Fellowship Leader

Dr. Neil Saunders is Program Director of the Endocrine Surgery Fellowship. He specializes in cancers of the endocrine organs including thyroid, parathyroid, pancreas, and adrenal glands. His clinical research interests involve thyroid cancer, parathyroid disease, and quality improvement.
Dr. Saunders received his MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, completed his general surgery residency at Emory, and did his complex general surgical oncology fellowship at Ohio State University in Columbus.
Dr. Saunders' clinical contributions have included introducing bedside ultrasonography for endocrine surgery patients to enhance diagnostic abilities and efficiency.
