Patricia Balthazar
Overview
Dr. Patricia Balthazar is an Assistant Professor of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine, specializing in abdominal imaging. She serves as the Medical Director for Quality and Safety in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences, Co-Director of the Integrated Imaging Informatics Track (I3T), and is a Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP).
Dr. Balthazars academic and leadership work focuses on quality improvement, imaging informatics, and resident education. She has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications and has been recognized with multiple grants and national awards. She currently serves as an Associate Editor for RadioGraphics and an Assistant Editor for the Journal of the American College of Radiology (JACR), and holds leadership positions in national medical organizations.

Her work includes evaluating interventions such as online self-scheduling and fast pass waitlists to advance patient-centered, evidence-based imaging care and optimize healthcare delivery through imaging informatics.
