Cardiothoracic Imaging

The Division of Cardiothoracic Imaging represents a collaborative relationship among radiologists, cardiologists, and research physicists.

The Division of Cardiothoracic Imaging includes a state-of-the-art Cardiac Imaging Center powered by the strong partnership between Emory's departments of Radiology and Cardiology. In addition to serving the Emory University Druid Hills campus, we provide imaging services at Emory University Hospital Midtown, Emory Johns Creek Hospital, the Emory Orthopaedics and Spine Hospital, Grady Memorial Hospital, and Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital.

Our team employs the latest imaging technology, including dual-source and HD CT scanners, 1.5T and 3T MRI scanners, ultrasound and more.

Highlights and Accomplishments

Carlo N. De Cecco, MD, PhD has been elected chair of the Electronic Communication Committee of the North American Society for Cardiovascular Imaging (NASCI). He also was appointed a member of the editorial boards of both the Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography (JCAT) and Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imaging, and section editor, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, of the European Journal of Radiology. He serves on the Corporate Relations Committee, Society of Cardiovascular CT; and the Appointments and Promotions Committee, CT Quality and Safety Committee, and PET-MR Protocol Committee of the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University.
