The Emory University School of Medicine's Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is among the largest academic radiology department in the nation. The department includes 11 clinical divisions with more than 150 faculty members, many of whom also hold appointments with the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Drawing upon our extensive healthcare system, dedication to excellence, commitment to education, diverse strengths, and collegial and collaborative culture, our fellowship programs are some of the best in the nation.

The opportunities for our radiology residents are seemingly limitless here at Emory and include mentorship, teaching, research and technological innovation, volunteerism, and public service on the local, regional, and national levels.

For the majority of the year, our department gets together once a week, either in person or via teleconferencing, for Grand Rounds. Presenters include top-notch clinicians and researchers from our own department, outside of our department but local (including non-radiology clinicians), and national or international visiting professors. This series is enriching for our faculty as well as trainees because it covers current topics in clinical practice, research, and administration that should be of interest to a practicing radiologist.
