Overview
Dr. Zagorias clinical work is focused on abdominal imaging with CT, ultrasound, x-rays, fluoroscopy, and MRI. He is a recognized authority in diagnosing kidney tumors, in kidney tumor ablation, and in the imaging diagnosis of diseases in the abdomen and pelvis including the urinary tract and the prostate gland.
Dr. Zagorias research has mainly involved questions in abdominal radiology with a particular interest in radiology of the genito-urinary tract. Over the past decade he has focused his research on the imaging diagnosis of kidney tumors and prostate cancer,
Dr. Zagoria has contributed significantly to the field of radiology through more than 200 published scholarly works, service on numerous editorial boards including as Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed journal Emergency Radiology and associate Editor of the American Journal of Roentgenology; and service on numerous boards and committees of national associations including The American College of Radiology, the Society of Abdominal Radiology, and the Radiological Society of North America.
He has been elected a fellow of the Society of Abdominal Radiology, the American Society of Emergency Radiology, and the European Society of Urogenital Radiology. Dr. Zagoria has earned dozens of honors including the LIfetime Service Award from the American Board of Radiology in 2015 and in 2022, Dr. Zagoria was awarded the Gold Medal from the Society of Abdominal Radiology for his achievements and contributions to this field of radiology.
