M&M Conference occurs on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 7:30am EST. Join us in H-Wing (Emory University Hospital, 1364 Clifton Road NE) or virtually via Zoom.
M&M should be attended by Emory Faculty, Fellows, Residents, APPs and Students only.
Purpose of M&M
In keeping with our ongoing commitment to patient safety and maintaining a culture of highly reliable care, Morbidity and Mortality (M&M) conferences provide a confidential forum for clinical members of the department identify and discuss opportunities for improvement in technique, decision-making, and processes of care through the review of specific patient outcomes. M&M also aims to promote professionalism, ethical integrity, and transparency in assessing medical errors, complications, and unanticipated outcomes as well as provide educational content for trainees.
M&M should be attended by current Emory Faculty, Fellows, Residents, APPs, and Students only.
Expectations
All cases involving complications, deaths, adverse or near-miss events should be submitted each week in the REDCap M&M reporting system. Cases for the week should be submitted by Friday afternoon each week for consideration by the moderator for the following week’s presentations. Selection of cases for presentation will be communicated by email.
