2026 National Doctors' Day

Join us in celebrating our Doctors’ Day featured faculty on social media by using the hashtag #EmoryDoctorsDay2026.

In recognition of National Doctors' Day, the Emory School of Medicine Recognitions Committee sent out a call for nominations for doctors across the School of Medicine who go above and beyond. More than 300 Emory faculty members were nominated by their peers and colleagues for their dedication to improving the health and well-being of our patients and community through the care they provide, the research they conduct and their efforts to teach and inspire learners.

Dr. Justine Welsh is a visionary leader in addiction medicine who built Emory’s Addiction Center from the ground up by uniquely combining training in child and addiction psychiatry. As Medical Director of the Emory Addiction Center and Vice‑Chair of Child, Adolescent, and Young Adult Services in the Department of Psychiatry, she has transformed how care is delivered to some of the most complex patients, integrating families, social work, and multiple levels of care. She provides exceptional, compassionate care to adults, adolescents, and their families and has secured critical funding to expand adolescent substance use treatment services, dramatically increasing access to evidence‑based care across Georgia.
