Overview
Dr. Udoji is a double boarded Anesthesiologist and Pain Management Specialist at the Veterans Affairs Health Care System in Atlanta and an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Udoji received her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Following that, she completed her anesthesiology residency at Duke University Medical Center and a pain fellowship at the Weill-Cornell Medical College Tri-Institute Pain Fellowship.
Dr. Udoji is active in pain research relating to knee osteoarthritis before and through the perioperative period and her interest in medical quality and patient safety led to her other research interest in workplace violence, especially in pain management.
She has served and is currently active on many local, regional, and national committees on acute and chronic pain. She has also presented locally, regionally, and nationally on workplace violence and chronic pain, and written research and review articles on ultrasound and acute and chronic pain syndromes. Her clinical expertise/interests includes workplace violence, ultrasound guided acute and chronic pain, non-opioid based pain management, and age and race disparities in receipt of regional anesthesia.
