Overview
Kristen Grabow Moore, MD, MEd completed her undergraduate degree at The College of William and Mary in 2005. After college, she joined Teach For America and taught middle school science in Los Angeles, CA while simultaneously earning a Masters in Education at Loyola Marymount University. She began medical school in 2007 at the University of Southern California, followed by her 4-year emergency medicine residency starting in 2011 for which she served as Chief Resident prior to graduation in 2015. After graduation, Dr. Moore joined the Emory University Emergency Medicine faculty where she is currently an Associate Professor and serves clinically at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA.
During her non-clinical time, Dr. Moore is deeply involved in educational innovation, scholarship and mentorship on the local and national levels. She is a nationally recognized leader in curriculum development as the Founder and Executive Director of Foundations of Emergency Medicine (www.foundationsem.com), which offers free, open access curricula that is used by over 75% of US EM residency programs, with expanding learner groups (medical students, APPs) and growing use abroad. In this role, she has motivated hundreds of faculty, fellows and learners to collaborate in building numerous level-specific, learner-centric core content and supplemental courses. Dr. Moore has won multiple institutional and national awards for her contributions to medical education and mentorship.
