Overview
Dr. Aaron D. Weiss is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at the Emory University School of Medicine.
Dr. Weiss graduated with highest distinction from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a Bachelor of Science degree in brain, behavioral and cognitive science. He then attended medical school at the Emory University School of Medicine, graduating magna cum laude; completed his general surgery internship and urology residency training at Emory; and joined Emory Urology as a faculty member in 2016. His clinical interests include kidney stone disease, endourology, minimally invasive surgery and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Dr. Weiss has been recognized for excellence in both academics and patient care. During the course of his Emory Urology residency, he received the William Hollis Cooner Award for compassionate patient care in both 2015 and 2016. He also received the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award.
Dr. Weiss is involved in teaching and mentoring Emory Urology residents; is building his portfolio of peer-reviewed publications; and is primarily based at Emory Johns Creek Hospital, with a concurrent practice at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital.
