She is currently supported by a K23 from NIA/NIH to investigate risk factors for and potential solutions to interhospital care fragmentation in older adults with Alzheimer's Disease. Her other research interests are in health equity, chronic disease, and high-cost/high-need patients. She practices as a primary care physician at the Grady Primary Care Center.

Dr. Turbow has a secondary appointment in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine, Division of Preventive Medicine, where she serves as Program Director for the Public Health and General Preventive Medicine Residency Program.
