Overview:
Dr. Goette joined Emory in 2019 as a Clinical MRI Physicist in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences and the Department of Radiation Oncology. As an MRI physicist, he focuses on optimizing imaging protocols, assuring quality and safety best practices, and driving innovation in the clinic, all while complying with ACR and TJC regulations. He strives to achieve the highest level of MR image quality and patient safety in diagnostic radiology and radiation therapy.
Dr. Goette received certification in medical physics with special competence in MRI physics from the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) in 2018, and certification as a Magnetic Resonance Safety Expert (MRSE), Magnetic Resonance Safety Certified (MRSC™), from the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety (ABMRS).

Research:
Dr. Goette’s research interests are focused on the use of innovative MRI sequences in routine clinical imaging and novel applications of MRI in proton therapy treatment planning.
