Dr. Lovie Negrin recently graduated from the University of South Alabama with her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). As a seasoned clinical research nurse, Dr. Negrin pursued a dual masters and DNP from the University of South Alabama to strengthen her pathological knowledge base as she advocates for the importance of clinical trials (CT). Dr. Negrin has had the pleasure of working under the direction of David Wright, MD in the Emory Emergency Neuroscience Lab for the last 6 years. Her research interests are emergency medicine initiatives pertaining to septic shock, stroke and traumatic brain injuries. Obtaining her DNP will allow her to reach new levels in the research realm as she looks to build a strong team of nurse research coordinators. Dr. Negrin notes she is “extremely excited to help close the knowledge-deficit about research amongst our patients while educating medical staff on the imperative need to support and extend CT participation to their patients”.
