Jennifer E. Morrison, Sr. Administrative Assistant/Program Coordinator for Scribes, recently graduated from a 6-month course called the Administrative Professionals Program. The graduation was held in the Cox Hall Ballroom on the afternoon of September 30, 2019. This was a program offered by Learning & Organizational Development (LOD) and allowed Jennifer to further develop her personal and administrative skills.
Some of the skills that she obtained from the program:
- How to appreciate differences among others
- How to manage emotions and stress at work
- Learning skills in crucial conversations to effectively manage conflict
- Learning how to meet customer needs effectively
- Learning how to communicate her ideas effectively
At the end of the program, Jennifer created a Capstone Project that will benefit the Department of EM. She collaborated with several colleagues in the EM department and created an Administrative Support Tool Kit for new and future administrative staff members. Within the toolkit are various applications that the administrative staff uses daily now and has been very helpful to have applications available in one central location. The toolkit is a very resourceful tool that can be easily accessible through the Emory Box-EM Administrative Resource folder. Jennifer presented her project on her final day of class and if anyone is interested, the presentation can be found in the box under Emergency Medicine Staff & Faculty Resource Folder - Administrative resource Folder.
Congratulations to Jennifer!
