Emory Psychedelic Training and Education Center (EPTEC)

Our mission is to provide high-quality, ethical, and scientifically rigorous education and clinical training in psychedelic-assisted therapy. We aim to prepare a broad range of healthcare professionals to understand the research, evidence, and clinical context surrounding psychedelic-assisted therapy and to develop the skills needed to support its safe and effective integration into healthcare systems upon approval.

Clinical and research expertise

Our faculty include internationally recognized experts in psychedelic-assisted therapy, and psychotherapy research, training, and dissemination. Each of our trainers has experience provider psychedelic-assisted therapy in the clinical trial setting.

Experiential learning

Our trainings incorporate case-based learning and experiential approaches that allow participants to develop a deeper understanding of the complexities of the treatment landscape and build confidence in applying these approaches.

Ethics and patient safety

Ethical clinical practice, appropriate patient selection, risk assessment, professional boundaries, and patient safety are central to our training approach. Our faculty have decades of experience ensuring patient safety and ethical practice in emerging and experimental treatment environments.

As an Emory-based program, our training is situated within a major academic medical center with a strong tradition of rigorous clinical care, education, and research.
