The Outpatient Psychotherapy Training Program (OPTP) is a psychotherapy service provided by psychiatry resident physicians, supervised by Emory faculty. Patients are seen though the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory Clinic located at 12 Executive Park Drive NE, Atlanta, GA 30329.
Services Offered
Psychiatry residents in the Outpatient Psychotherapy Training Program provide outpatient psychotherapy evaluations and individual, couples and group therapy.
Entry into the Program
If you are interested in psychotherapy treatment please call to request an intake evaluation at (404) 778-5526, option#5, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. You will speak with one of our intake coordinators who will explain the program and will gather some information from you to determine if we offer the right services for your needs. You will then be scheduled for your first visit, which will be an evaluation session where one of our resident physicians will gather a detailed history to make specific diagnostic and treatment recommendations. After your evaluation the physician will contact you to discuss the recommendations and options for psychotherapy treatment.
Fees
Most major insurance plans are accepted for in network or out of network coverage. To find out whether your insurance provider covers mental health services at Emory Clinic please call (404) 778-5526, option #5. Currently the OPTP does not accept Medicare or Medicaid.
