Ann Vandenberg PhD, MPH
Overview
Dr. Vandenberg, an Assistant Professor of Medicine, is a research gerontologist in the Department of Medicine, Division of General Medicine & Geriatrics. With a focus on health services research, her main interest is the identification of gaps in health systems that treat older patients and the development or implementation of interventions to address these through individual-level behavior change or clinic-level practice change. Dr. Vandenberg has a PhD from Emory Universitys Graduate Institute of the Liberal Arts, a Masters of Public Health in Behavioral Science and Health Education from Emorys Rollins School of Public Health, and a Gerontology Certificate from the University of Georgia. She has been an intern at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)s Healthy Aging Program, an affiliate of the CDC-funded Healthy Aging Research Network, and a Summer Associate at the National Council on Aging. In 2015 she was selected to participate in the National Institute on Agings Butler-Williams Scholars Program.
