Department of Medicine

David Stephens has served as chair of the Department of Medicine since 2013. Stephens has been a leader for the department and the Woodruff Health Sciences Center for more than 30 years as a scientist, educator, clinician, and strategic leader.

The Department of Medicine is home to more than 800 diverse faculty members who are leaders in research, education, and patient care. Our faculty span 10 internal medicine divisions and work in different clinical and research settings across the metro Atlanta area and beyond.
