New AMD research shows promise An over-the-counter supplement may boost AMD treatment

Research from the lab of Sayantan Datta, PhD has identified a potential therapeutic option for age-related macular degeneration (AMD), an incurable eye disease that is the leading cause of vision loss for people over the age of 50.

Four of the 20 clinicians who finished their studies at the Emory Eye Center this past week will be returning next year for fellowships  or to join our clinical staff. All of them were celebrated during a day-long tradition that included research presentations and a Graduation Gala.
