Overview
Sara Campbell, MD MSPH is a Generalist at Emory University's Gynecology/Obstetrics department. She practices at Emory Decatur Hospital.
Dr. Campbell attended medical school at UNC - Chapel Hill, where she also earned a Master's of Science in Public Health through the Maternal and Child Health department. Her practicum took place in Nairobi where she started to fulfill a childhood dream of global health, which she then continued in Guatemala and Zanzibar. After residency in Philadelphia, she served for a year with the Peace Corps by helping to train the first class of OBGYNs in Liberia. Realizing that underserved populations exist in the US as well, she practiced for three years in rural Mississippi before relocating to Atlanta.
Dr. Campbell is undergoing WPATH certification to help provide gender-affirming care. She is also working with staff at Emory Decatur to better support patients who desire minimal intervention births.
