The Emory University Acute Care Residency Program has been accredited since 2019 and strives to provide clinical experience across the continuum of acute care settings, didactic material and research opportunities for development of advanced clinical practice and critical thinking.
Residency Training Programs
Post-professional residency programs at Emory University provide clinicians inspired to pursue specialty practice structured learning experiences in their specialty of interest. The residency programs prepare physical therapists to apply evidence-based practice to promote advanced knowledge and skills within the specialty of interest. Curricula include clinical, didactic, service, research and teaching opportunities. Preparing physical therapists that are critical consumers of relevant scientific literature and the integration of new techniques are fundamental to innovative clinical practice. A key aspect of the residency mission is to foster leadership and advocacy within our profession. Inter-professional education, collaboration and practice is integral to advancing post professional development and is interwoven into the residency curricula.
