Emory Physical Therapy and Wellness offers advanced and specialized physical therapy services to the Emory and Greater Atlanta communities. This unique clinic was established in 2006 as part of The Emory Clinic by Division of Physical Therapy faculty members and clinicians. The Emory Division of Physical Therapy program is ranked nationally as #7 by US News and World Report.
Our treatment philosophy involves looking holistically at the individual and approaching treatment from the perspective of addressing global movement dysfunctions. The practice has grown to include six faculty members who specialize in various areas of physical therapy care, and are leaders in education and their field. Many of our treating faculty are published in peer reviewed scientific journals, and bring the latest and best evidence based practice to the clinic. Specialty areas include musculoskeletal, sports medicine, neurological, vestibular, and comprehensive cancer rehabilitation.
Neurologic and Older Adult Rehabilitation
This service is provided by physicians and physical therapists that specialize in neurologic and geriatric patient care. The collaborative team focuses on delivering patient centered care, individually tailored to help patients participate as fully as possible in life activities and meet personal goals. We provide care for individuals who have movement problems (weakness, stiffness, spasticity, balance deficits, difficulty walking, etc.) resulting from neurologic and medical conditions as well as issues related to aging. Emory Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency students also practice within this setting. Learn more about the neurologic residency program.

Cancer treatments such as surgery, radiation, and/or chemotherapy can cause physical impairments that impact your quality of life and function. Physical Therapy can help improve your function and decrease your pain to allow you a quicker recovery in order to regain your function faster.
Our expert physical therapists will conduct a comprehensive evaluation, identifying any strength, endurance, and range of motion deficits that may be affecting your quality of life. Our staff includes local members of the American Cancer Society, active participants of the Orthopedic and Oncology sections of the American Physical Therapy Association, and board certified Orthopedic Physical Therapy Specialists and Neurologic Clinical Specialists.
Our Cancer Rehabilitation Program includes treatment for patients diagnosed with many types of cancer, such as breast, head and neck cancer, leukemia, lymphoma, lung cancer, melanoma, prostate cancer, and colon cancer.
