Chae Won completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she majored in Korean. She then attended medical school at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society for her academic performance, leadership, service, and demonstrated professionalism. Chae Won has a strong personal interest in helping diverse patient and minority populations as demonstrated by her engagement in the McGuire Fund where she took an active role in making funds accessible to patients unable to afford healthcare. She has also taken an active role in helping others in rural settings and is expected to be awarded the Dean’s Certificate of Distinction in Rural Health upon graduation. Her hobbies include art, archery, hiking, and camping.
