Joel Wedd MD, MPH
Overview
Dr. Wedd joined the Emory Liver Transplant Center in August 2014 after completing his gastroenterology and transplant hepatology fellowships at the University of Colorado. Originally from Virginia, he completed his MD and masters of public health at the University of North Carolina and finished his residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard training hospital in Boston. Dr. Wedds clinical interests include end-stage liver disease, portal hypertension, and hepatocellular carcinoma. His research interest is improving our understanding of how to appropriately prioritize patients for liver transplantation.
