Overview
Dr. Dollar received his Bachelors of Science degree in 1981 from Georgetown University and in 1985 he received his MD degree from the University of Maryland. After an Internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland Hospital, Dr. Dollar completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC in 1988. Dr. Dollar then went on to a Fellowship in Cardiology at the National Institutes of Health and at the Washington Hospital Center which he completed in 1992. Dr. Dollar then moved to Georgia where he entered private practice. In 2005, after 13 years in practice with Cardiology of Georgia, PC at Piedmont Hospital, Dr. Dollar left practice to pursue a career in academia at Emory.
Dr. Dollars clinical practice is at Grady Memorial Hospital where he serves as the Chief of Cardiology and the Medical Director of Cardiovascular Services.
All of Dr. Dollars clinical practice is carried out in the context of teaching cardiology fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical students. Additionally, Dr. Dollar is active in teaching cardiology fellows in the catheterization laboratory and in a variety of conferences.
