Thank you for your commitment to help the sick and injured. This is not an easy time to be a front line hospital worker. We are grateful that you are there when we most need you.

My mom was a nurse in public health for many years, my daughter-in-law is a nurse, and I appreciate more than many the incomparable care quality nurses provide to patients. As a child, I remember worrying about my mom as she interviewed active TB cases to prepare them for hospitalization. I saw how much she worried about the crippled children who attended her clinic in Ware County. I know my daughter-in-law and her friends worked tirelessly through the COVID-19 crisis during hurricanes and tornado watches. You, as a nurse, are sometimes the unsung heros of the health care teams. Often the doctors, who definitely deserve the praise, get all the praise. I would like for nurses to know I value you, I appreciate you, and I pray for your safety.

I want to thank you once again for what you did. You, no doubt, saved my life and for that I am forever grateful. During the peak of the early COVID-19 wave, you went to bat for me and would not let the hospital cancel my surgery. You delayed your own vacation in order to operate on me. Thank you!

I am a college student from Houston who is an aspiring doctor and I just wanted to take this opportunity to say that I am so proud. As a child, I always imagined medical workers to be warriors fighting against different diseases, and now I am seeing that in real time. As an English student, I have read so many heroic tales from different parts of the world, but what happened in 2020 surpassed my notion on heroism. Thank you to the doctors, nurses, faculty, residents, security guards, housekeepers and staff who are directly putting their lives on the front line every day in the duties they perform. We tend to forget sometimes about the low man on the totem pole. We should not because their work is also very vital in the fight for a cure for this horrible virus. Most of the security staff have underlying conditions, but are exposing themselves every day to save lives. Thank you, thank you, thank you, and we love you all for all of the wonderful work you are doing! I'm the proud parent of an Emory security guard and I couldn't be prouder of his work and dedication to Emory.

Many thanks to all the health care workers! You stayed on the job doing what you do best. If it were not for you dedicated health care workers, many more lives would have been lost. My daughter-in-law is an emergency room surgeon and the precautions she has to take to make sure that she, her patients, and family stay are mind blowing. I get hot just looking at her in her hazmat looking outfit. May God bless each and every one of you.

I would like to give a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of the people who are working extra hard to ensure that our health and lifestyles are running as well as can be during a pandemic. This is for the MEDICAL... from the doctors, nurses, administration, to the janitorial staff. The FIRST RESPONDERS... police, firemen, paramedics, 911 operators. HOSPITALITY.... restaurant, fast food workers, hotel workers. The TRUCKERS and WAREHOUSE workers. The HEATING, AIR & PLUMBING workers. The TELECOMMUNICATION & CABLE workers. The EDUCATION workers... teachers, daycare etc. The RETAIL workers ... grocery stores, drug stores, pharmacies etc. The city workers... trash collectors, water department etc. The TRAVEL industry from the buses, car service, Marta, trains, planes, ships etc. No one ever thinks of the people that work in the zoos, aquariums, animal shelters, ranches, etc. Those animals have to be taken care of. The funeral workers. Wow. There are so many people doing what they do above and beyond. There are many more I did not name and they are just as important as everybody else. BUT without you health heroes, we all may be lost. THANK YOU!

I would like to recognize the ESP RNs, NTs, MAs, LPNs staff who work every day to fill in the gaps, where and when they are needed. I applaud them for always striving to help in any occasion. We are all in this together, however, these PRN Healthcare staff members go to work every day to make the area they are assigned to just a little bit better. Thank you for all you do, and know that I see you. I appreciate you all for what you do.

It takes a lot away from being with our own families and trying to be safe for them also, as well as your patients. Thank you to all the general support staff who receive each person who comes into building B and to the valets who work so hard in the hot climate! The staff who greets, takes temps, and directs each patient was incredibly helpful and kind. I know it is a selfless job because no one really wants to do this, but they do it and the people I saw were very friendly. I am grateful or I would have been late to my appointment for being directionally challenged. Another thanks to the valet attendants who do some of the same work as the people taking temps and giving out stickers for those who have passed general inspections! The valet attendants work inside the cars that may be contaminated, but they cannot know! They get in and drive to help all of those who ask for their service! I think valet parking is so helpful, being a person with limited mobility. To everyone, though, who works frontline putting their lives and the lives of their families in harms way to help all of us who come asking for help. They are truly amazing for giving of themselves in downtown Atlanta. Blessings and peace to each of you!

Hats off to the nurses working in the main Emory hospital CDU at night. Their kind approach during these trying times makes them especially helpful.

I would just like to take a moment to thank you sincerely for all of the hard work and effort put in by all of our health care workers and the cleaning staff that assist them. It's been amazing to watch people come together after the tragic onset of COVID-19. Folks have dedicated their time and sacrificed so much in the name of helping others. I just want everyone to know that your hard work and efforts have not gone unnoticed. People can see how difficult your jobs are, and I would just like to be sure you know how much you are valued and appreciated. Even the smallest effort is important and creates a ripple affect where others inspired by you choose to also do some good and help out as they can. Seeing the humanity and kind hearts of all those who choose to help others is just wonderful. Thank you so much for all that you do and all that you will continue to do.

Doctors, nurses, EMTs and other health care workers - you all are indispensable to our community! Fortunately, I have not seen any of you in your professional capacities, but I live near Emory and see many of you in my pre-dawn grocery runs. You are the ones telling other people that a mask doesn't do any good if it leaves your nose hanging out. Thank you! Thank you for staffing the hospitals and the ambulances! Dr. Allen D. Beck, you have been taking care of my wife for well over 19 years. Our family arrived here at Fort McPherson, Georgia from Germany on September 22, 2000, while I was still serving in the U.S. Army. In 2001, we were surprised to learn from our military health clinic that my wife was diagnosed with advanced Glaucoma. We were referred by the Humana Military Healthcare to the Emory Eye Clinic and assigned to you. We didn't know at the time but what a blessing that has been for our family, to get a very compassionate, knowledgeable, and thorough doctor!

Dr. Beck, you are a very pleasant, caring, and great doctor/ophthalmologist, and an awesome servant of the community!! You've always kept us informed about my wife's conditions and when surgeries and more frequent visits were necessary, you always provide the best possible care for my wife and ensures she's getting superb treatment!

In closing, our family thanks the Emory Eye Clinic team, to include all the specialists that have provided excellent testing and care. Also, all the front desk staff who provide great service!

While the rest of us run away from the virus, you folks run to it each day with your faithful service. Dr. Gary, you repaired my back in 2016 (fused all 5 lumbar). I have not had a back issue since. Great job sir. You recommended Dr. Carolina Garcia to me for my foot nerve issue. Her team did all the test on my feet, and I had a Zoom meeting with her today. We have a plan that I am very confident with.

Dr. Garcia, Thank you for all of your hard work to determine the issue with my feet. I was very pleased with your team's work. My family and I were very pleased with the Zoom meeting we had today, and the plans that you have laid out for my treatment.

To the Emory Healthcare medical providers and staff, THANK YOU for all you do! After watching the videos shared by Dane Peterson's Operations update on September 1, I had the chills and cried. I think Americans are becoming somewhat numb to hearing reports about COVID-19, the numbers, the politics of masks, etc. but we can't lose sight that our fellow citizens are showing up to work every day to care for sick patients, with and without COVID-19.

You may have heard many words of gratitude and love that the words, "thank you" and "we love you" might have lost their meaning. You might be reading this on your 30-minute break or a calm night after another long day at work. I want to remind you that everything is going to be okay. You've entered this field for a reason and this is your purpose. You've saved lives, you've truly worked hard, and you've been showing up every day to work to do the best work you can. There are some things we were never taught in school and determination, diligence, and integrity are a few of them. You've learned this through your dedication to healthcare.
