Emily is originally from Charleston, SC. She completed her undergraduate training at Occidental College in Los Angeles and medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans. During medical school, Emily completed a Master's in Public Health with an emphasis on epidemiology and biostatistics at the Tulane School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Washington University in St Louis/ Barnes Jewish Hospital, where she was a Chief Resident. After graduation, she worked with the EM residency program at Piedmont Macon Medical Center for two years before returning to fellowship in Anesthesia Critical Care at Emory. Her primary professional interests include resident and medical student education, curriculum development, and resuscitation.
