About Us
Grady Memorial Hospital is the 1,000-bed tertiary care, level one trauma hospital in the heart of downtown Atlanta. It has served as the city’s public safety net health care institution for its citizens and the citizens of Fulton and DeKalb counties for over one hundred years. As the nation's sixth largest public hospital and one of the country's busiest trauma centers, Grady provides a unique and wide variety of anesthetic and perioperative services for its patients.
In addition to Grady's bustling labor and delivery unit, busy neurosurgical service, and a large number of spine cases, the Marcus Stroke and Neuroscience Center provides anesthetic services for hundreds of neuro-interventional procedures a year, serving the entire state of Georgia.
The Grady Burn Center is one of only two burn centers in the State of Georgia as well, and the only one in the Atlanta area serving pediatric patients. Grady also boasts a complete invasive chronic pain service as well as extensive regional anesthesia services.
The Emory Anesthesiology Department at Grady supports a growing number of off-site procedures, with a newly constructed GI wing, as well as procedures in the new Correll Cardiac Center.
