After attending Wofford College where she majored in biology with a concentration in neuroscience, Charlotte completed medical school at the University of South Carolina. In medical school, she served as the class Treasurer for four years and researched the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences in adolescents. Charlotte matched into an internal medicine residency at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Early on in her residency, she expressed an interest in psychiatry, but ultimately decided to pursue training in both internal medicine and psychiatry. Upon completing her internal medicine residency, Charlotte will begin psychiatry as a PGY-2.
