
Simone has been driven by a passion for public health, advocacy and community engagement. She earned her undergraduate degree from Spelman College before completing her Master of Public Health at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health. After obtaining her medical degree at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, she is proud to be the first in her family to enter the field of medicine. As Vice President of the Student National Medical Association, she is committed to supporting underrepresented students in medicine. Her dedication to improving medical education led her to conduct quality improvement research, developing a formal system to assess student satisfaction with her school’s culture, curriculum and resources.
