
Although originally from South Carolina, Farris has been calling Georgia home since his time as an undergraduate at Emory and then medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He has shown a deep commitment to community service through various volunteer roles, including at a clinic for refugees and a crisis hotline for homeless and struggling youth, particularly those who identify as LGBTQ+. Between undergrad and medical school, Farris provided therapy for children with autism as a registered behavior technician.
