
Terry completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida and medical degree at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. In medical school, Terry’s compassionate care was acknowledged by her peers through her induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, where she was later selected to be President of the UM Chapter and launched the No One Dies Alone program. She demonstrated her passion for psychiatry and leadership skills in her role as Vice President of the Psychiatry Student Interest Group. In her VP role, she developed a partnership between UM and Kristi House, a local center dedicated to treating and preventing child abuse. Terry has been committed to health disparities research since her time in a Health Psychology lab at the University of Florida and continued her efforts to combat health disparities as part of the Jay Weiss Pathway for Social Medicine and Health Equity, which culminated in several publications and presentations.
