Overview
Jennifer Wrenn, MD, joined the Generalist Division of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Emory in June of 2013. She is a native of Bloomington, Indiana, and is the daughter and granddaughter of two OB/GYNs. She graduated with a BS degree in Biology from Indiana University and received her Doctor of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine. While in medical school she received the Roy Norman Rheinhardt Award for excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her Ob/Gyn residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio where she received the Keith Devoe, MD Resident Research Award. After 9 years of clinical private practice in North Carolina and Ohio she decided to return to Academic medicine and joined the Emory University Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics as an Assistant Professor in 2013. Her transition from private practice to Academic medicine has allowed her to pursue her interests in Resident physician education and Quality Improvement for Womens Health while continuing to take care of her patients. While at Emory she has received the National Faculty CREOG award for Excellence in Residency Education as well as the Crystal Apple award for Excellence in Medical Student Education. Dr. Wrenn has been board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2012.
Dr. Wrenn chose to join the Emory faculty because she genuinely believes that the Emory Womens Center offers exceptional evidence-based care. Her clinical gynecologic interests include perimenopause, abnormal uterine bleeding, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, infertility, cervical dysplasia, and minimally invasive surgery. She cares for and delivers both low and high-risk pregnancies throughout the prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum periods. She is committed to providing excellent and compassionate care for women of all ages.
