Purpose and Objectives
Our Advances in Urology course is designed to facilitate comprehensive exposure to recent scientific updates and advances in urology practice and research.
Overview
Specific lecture sessions surrounding the detection and treatment of prostate, bladder, and kidney cancer will update the urologist on the latest technology available to enhance their clinical practice and outcomes. Additionally, updates on reconstructive and pediatric urology, men's health, and stone disease are included.
This course contributes to the American Board of Urology Maintenance of Certification requirements of 90 hours of CME, and is intended for professional urologists, urology residents, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and urology nurses. Participants are encouraged to bring cases for discussion and interaction.

Program Chair
The program chair is Kenneth Ogan, MD, Professor of Urology, Department of Urology, Emory University School of Medicine, and Co-Director, Emory Comprehensive Stone Center, Emory Healthcare. Dr. Ogan has pioneered various surgical techniques for laparoscopic, robotic, and thermal ablation kidney cancer surgery to cure patients from cancer while preserving their kidney function. As Co-Director of the Stone Center, he is also involved in the endoscopic/percutaneous management of patients with kidney stones.
