Department of Urology Education

Emory Urology trainees have the opportunity to learn and work in a leading academic surgical program housed in one of the nation's most respected academic medical centers.

Training Facilities

Residents and fellows of the Emory Department of Urology benefit from exposure to the vast and diverse patient populations distributed among our various clinical sites. Our clinical programs are presided over by eminent faculty, propelled by progressive treatment technologies, and are often high volume referral services ranked in the upper tiers of their particular specialties.

Training Spotlights

Education is a core mission of the Emory Department of Urology. Our top-tier training programs offer broad, clinical and research-based learning opportunities and experiences.

Residency for MDs

This five-year residency includes one year of general surgery training, followed by four years of training in urologic surgery.

The PA residency emphasizes patient care, medical knowledge, interpersonal and communication skills, and professionalism.

Pediatric Urology Fellowship

This two-year training program is based at the Egleston and Scottish Rite campuses of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

This annual course is intended for professional urologists, urology residents, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and urology nurses.
