Liz Thayer, MD (She/Her/Hers), PGY-7 Dr. Thayer received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies from Wellesley College before attending medical school at Penn State. During medical school, she led the Medical Students for Choice chapter and was a Global Health Scholar, traveling to Zambia twice for research and clinical training. She completed her OB/GYN residency at UMass in Worcester, MA, before moving to Atlanta and Emory as an Advanced Pelvic Surgery fellow. She is thrilled to be continuing her training as the inaugural Gynecologic Oncology fellow. Her clinical interests include perioperative quality improvement and optimizing patient engagement through education. Outside the hospital, she enjoys cooking, traveling, trying new restaurants, and hanging out with her two cats. |

Larissa Weirich, MD (She/Her/Hers), PGY-6 Dr. Weirich grew up in Oregon and received her B.S. in Biology with a minor in French from the University of Oregon. She graduated from medical school at Oregon Health & Science University, where she completed a two-month research fellowship in Thailand studying the prevalence and spread of Zika virus. She then moved from coast to coast and completed her Ob/Gyn residency at Maine Medical Center in the other Portland. Dr. Weirich is thrilled to continue her training at Emory as a Gynecology Oncology fellow and to explore Georgia. Her research interests include disparities in gynecologic cancer care and health equity. When not at the hospital she can most often be found outside running, hiking, canoeing, and visiting new restaurants and breweries with her husband Dane and their dog Hudson. |

Kelsey Roof, MD- PGY-5 Dr. Roof received her Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Georgia Tech. She has remained loyal to her native Atlanta roots and completed both her medical degree and GYNOB residency at Emory University. She is now thrilled to be the third fellow to match at Emory’s Gynecology Oncology program. Her research interests include oncofertility and cancer-associated biomarkers. Outside of work, you can find her enjoying a pup-cup with her wife and dog Harley at the local dog parks or baking NY-style bagels on the weekends. |

Jacqueline Mercado, MD (She/Her/Hers), PGY-6 Dr. Mercado was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, but raised in California, where she attended the University of California, Berkeley for her undergraduate degree. She then uprooted and experimented with winter during her medical degree at Michigan State University. She completed her residency at the HCA UCF Consortium in Gainesville, Florida. Dr. Mercado is excited to explore the nearby mountains and trails Atlanta offers. |

Darington Richardson, MD- PGY-5 Dr. Darington Richardson is a proud Atlanta native who is delighted to return home to complete fellowship training in Complex Benign Gynecologic Surgery. She completed both her undergraduate and medical education at the University of Kentucky, where she was also a Division I athlete, before completing her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of Michigan. Dr. Richardson’s professional interests include surgical mentorship, optimizing operating room efficiency, and advancing efforts to reduce racial disparities within her subspecialty. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, staying active through regular workouts, and discovering fun and unique restaurants when time allows. |

Mary Grace Tadros, MD- PGY5 Dr. Tadros is originally from Atlanta, GA, and returns from Jersey City, NJ. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology and attended medical school at St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies. She recently completed her OBGYN residency at RWJ Barnabas Health, Rutgers, and is thrilled to be back as the Lower Anogenital Screening and Treatment Fellow here at Emory. Her research interests include advancing cervical cancer screening and HPV related diseased in patients living with HIV. Clinically, she is interested in gynecologic care and surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her family and exploring with her two dogs! |

Megha Patel, PGY-6 Megha was born and raised in Canton, MI and graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. in neuroscience and human biology. She received her medical degree from Central Michigan University. She completed her residency training at Ascension Saint Alexius in Hoffman Estates, IL where she continued her journey to provide and advocate for comprehensive reproductive healthcare. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants/coffee shops, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. |

Bria Peacock, MD- PGY-5 Bria Peacock, MD, is an OB/GYN and Complex Family Planning Fellow at Emory University with a national track record in reproductive justice advocacy, research, and policy. She is committed to advancing equitable access to abortion and reproductive healthcare, particularly for Black adolescents and young parents in the South. Dr. Peacock previously served as Advocacy Chief Resident at UCSF and was the first resident selected as a UCSF Bixby Center Advocacy Fellow and an Emerging Scholar in Family Planning. She is the founder of Choices Within Reach, a community-based organization supporting young Black parents, and currently serves as chair of the Advocacy Special Interest Group at the Society of Family Planning. Her work has been featured by CNN, the New England Journal of Medicine, and the LA Times, and she has successfully advocated for state legislation expanding abortion training access. Dr. Peacock brings a justice-centered, community-rooted perspective to medicine. |

Nicole Rainville, DO (she/her/hers), PGY7 I grew up in Falmouth, Maine, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Cultural Anthropology at Colby College and attended the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. I then completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut. I am thrilled to join the Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at Emory and fulfilling my goal of helping women with pelvic floor disorders and incontinence improve their quality of life. In my free time, I enjoy exploring local restaurants, yoga, horseback riding, and spending time with my Fiancé and my cat. |

Jennifer Park, MD PGY6 Dr. Park received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rochester. She then attended the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, which is located near her hometown. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Los Angeles. After hours, you can find her exploring restaurants, new recipes, or places to hammock. |

Serosh Naeem, MD- PGY5 Serosh Naeem, MD, is coming from Yonkers, New York. She completed her BS/MD degree at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education Program/CUNY School of Medicine in Harlem, NY. She knew she wanted to be a physician when she graduated high school, and as she completed her degree, her passion for OBGYN grew and evolved. Her interest in Urogynecology stemmed from her passion for anatomical relationships and for creating functional solutions for patients through innovative surgical techniques. Outside the hospital, she enjoys trying new recipes, planning her next vacation, and watching reality TV. |

Noor Al-Shibli, MD, PGY-7 Noor is from Knoxville, TN, and received her B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Tennessee. She then went to medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN for medical school. She completed her OB/GYN residency training at Duke University in Durham, NC prior to joining Emory as a fellow in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include maternal nutrition, infectious diseases, and community health. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, hiking, kayaking, and camping. |

Shian McLeish, MD, PGY-6 Dr. McLeish is originally from Miami, Florida, but grew up in Powder Springs, Georgia. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Georgia State University. Following this, she attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. Dr. McLeish then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Virginia Tech Carilion in Roanoke, Virginia. She is thrilled to be embarking on a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Emory University. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, and trying out new restaurants. |

Natalie Poliektov, MD, PGY-6 Dr. Poliektov is from Denver, CO and received a dual B.A. in Biochemistry and Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado Boulder. She then completed her M.S. in Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado Boulder where she studied ways to prevent age-related cardiovascular disease. She received her medical degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, CO and earned numerous clinical, teaching, and research awards. She was elated to match at Emory for OB/GYN residency where she served as a Chief Administrative Resident and was selected to join the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine Resident Scholars program. She is thrilled to continue her training at Emory for Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship. Her clinical and research interests include cardiometabolic diseases of pregnancy, the influence of trauma on adverse pregnancy outcomes, and the transition to postpartum care. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, two kids, and Yorkie Poo pup. She also enjoys baking desserts from scratch, trying new restaurants (especially sushi!), home improvement projects, and traveling. |

Maritza Rivera Montalvo, MD- PGY-5 Maritza Rivera Montalvo, M.D., M.P.H., is originally from Puerto Rico. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez and earned her medical degree from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE). She completed an internship year at Dr. Isaac González Oncology Hospital before completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Hospital San Lucas Ponce/Ponce Health Sciences University consortium. Dr. Rivera Montalvo then pursued a fellowship in Complex Family Planning and a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Health Systems and Policies at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She worked for five years as faculty at the UCF-HCA Gainesville OB/GYN Residency Program, where she served as Associate Program Director and Ryan Program Director. She is excited to pursue her MFM fellowship and, in the future, combine expertise in MFM and family planning to optimize patient care. Her clinical interests include improving patient care by integrating social determinants of health into quality improvement initiatives. After fellowship, she plans to focus on teaching and graduate medical education. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends. |

Kaitlyn Dorn, MD- PGY-5 Dr. Dorn is from Litchfield, MN and received her B.A. in Biology from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD. She then attended medical school at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ochsner in New Orleans, LA. During residency, she served as Administrative Chief Resident and received multiple clinical, teaching, and research awards. Katie is thrilled to be training at Emory in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include SMM, cardiovascular diseases in pregnancy, and community health. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, hiking, baking, and exploring new restaurants. |
