Fun fact about you: I was on the veterinary track prior to PA school and once owned 12 pets at the same time.

My journey into medicine began in 2018 when I experienced a sudden, undiagnosed illness while completing my college exams. That experience opened my eyes to the resilience and compassion of medical professionals, igniting a passion within me to provide the same standard of care for others. Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Biology and a minor in Animal Sciences on the pre-veterinary track. Before PA school, I worked across several medical specialties including emergency radiology, interventional medicine, orthopedics, primary care, and chiropractic medicine as a bilingual clinical medical assistant and radiology tech. I enjoy biking, playing soccer, watching movies, and finding peace in nature and my home aquarium.

What drew you to the PA profession?

My personal experience as a patient, combined with diverse clinical roles, has affirmed my commitment to empathetic, high-quality care. I'm especially drawn to surgical practice, psychiatry, and orthopedic fields where I hope to make a lasting impact through culturally competent and accessible care. I was inspired by how PAs fill essential care gaps, especially among underserved populations, and adapt seamlessly between specialties. I believe in "quality over quantity" and am driven by the need to bring practical, compassionate care to those who need it most.

Describe a favorite memory of your Emory experience, so far:

A standout moment for me has related to peers who share the same level of drive, curiosity, and passion for medicine. Beyond academics, I’ve found great fulfillment in supporting my classmates - whether by helping them access essential resources, contributing to our committee’s initiatives, or helping organize funding for Emory’s beloved Farmworkers Project. The collaborative and uplifting environment at Emory is truly unmatched. Each day here reinforces that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
