Why Did You Choose Emory for your PA training?

Emily Lin, PA-S Class of 2019

Emory's Physician Assistant program stood out to me during the application process not only as a well-established program but also based on their commitment to service. Since starting the program, I have been able to continue giving back to the community through various projects that we have such as Good Samaritan Health Clinic, the South Georgia Farmworker Project and Portal de Salud. These opportunities also allow students in our program to continue applying skills learned in the classroom to real-life opportunities.

Marjorie V. Taylor, CNMT, PA-S Class of 2020

When I was ready to apply to PA school, Emory was not on my list at all. It just so happened that there was one more open house session and I decided to attend. After that open house session, Emory went from not being on my list at all to the very top. I knew that this was where I needed to be. Emory’s emphasis on community service, curriculum schedule, and anatomy lab where a few of the reasons I chose Emory. The biggest reason I chose Emory was due to the faculty and staff; they made me feel at home and like they had my best interest at heart. There is no doubt that I made the best decision ever by joining the Emory PA program.

Brent Bowler, PA-S Class of 2020

An invitation to interview at Emory came as a surprise knowing their reputation and prestige. I expected my interview at a top-five school to be intimidating and abrasive, but all I found was warmth, welcoming, and a genuine interest in supporting students. Receiving a personalized phone call from a faculty member in my interview sealed the deal. Emory has been everything I hoped it would be and my interview was just a foreshadowing of how my experience has been here: hospitable, educational, and thoroughly preparing me for my future.
