Steven Roser Honored with AAOMS Donald B. Osbon Award for an Outstanding Educator

The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons will present Steven Roser, DMD, MD, with the 2017 Donald B. Osbon Award for an Outstanding Educator at its 99th Annual Meeting in San Francisco in October. Dr. Roser is the DeLos Hill Professor of Oral Surgery and Chief of the Emory Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Roser was selected for the award for his involvement in research, his active encouragement of faculty and resident participation in research, and his reputation as an outstanding clinician that exemplifies the highest ethical and moral ideals of the profession.
AAOMS recognized Dr. Roser previously with the 2011 Humanitarian Award for committing significant time and effort to improving the quality of life for the public.
In addition to his clinical, academic, and research activities, Dr. Roser has led surgical trips to Central and South America since 1991 for Healing the Children Northeast, providing such services as cleft lip and cleft palate repair. His most recent trip was to Santa Cruz, Bolivia, in January 2017.
