The Emory University Department of Neurology is a vibrant and active academic medical school department with prominent clinical, educational and research programs. Our specialty clinics span the neurologic diseases and conditions, and deliver state-of-the-art neurologic care to patients and families. Quality patient care simultaneously provides critical training opportunities for tomorrow’s neurologists, as well research opportunities to better understand neurologic disease. Our translational neuroscience research programs not only seek to develop more effective treatment strategies with fewer side effects, but also to identify disease risk factors with the goal of preventing disease development.
