ENDOLOWis an Investigator-Initiated Study (IIS) funded by J&J/Cerenovus and sponsored by Emory University. The trial is a Phase 2/3 designed trial testing immediate endovascular mechanical thrombectomy vs. initial medical management for large vessel occlusions in patients with NIHSS 0-5.
This is a $5.8 million award to Drs. Raul Nogueira and David Wright.
Emory Emergency Neurosciences is providing study wide management across 50 sites in the US, Canada, and Europe. We have partnered with Investigators at the University of Cincinnati, University of Calgary, and the University of Heidelberg. Enrollment at Grady is expected to start in late summer of 2019.
ENRICH
The goal of ENRICH (Early MiNimally-invasive Removal of IntraCerebral Hemorrhage) is to compare standard medical management to early ICH evacuation using minimally invasive parafascicular surgery for the treatment of acute spontaneous supratentorial ICH.
VICTAS is a trial to see if the use of vitamin C, thiamine, and corticosteroids reduces the duration of respiratory and cardiovascular organ dysfunctionin critically ill patients with sepsis. The trial is sponsored by Emory University and funded by a grant from The Marcus Foundation.
Emory and CHOA Investigators are partnering on an exciting new research project, TBI Evaluation and Management (TEaM), funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that focuses on mild traumatic brain injury (concussions) in children ages 5 – 18. The goal of TEaM is to improve both the detection of pediatric concussion and accurate diagnosis as well as communication between providers (ED, UC, and PCP), concussed children and their families, and schools.
