The Atlanta VA Medical Center (VAMC), located on 26 acres in Decatur, Georgia is one of eight medical centers in the VA Southeast Network serving the men and women who serve or who have served our country. Service
The Emergency Department at Atlanta VAMC currently offers 26 Emergency Medicine patient care rooms. The Atlanta VAMC ED is staffed by Emergency Medicine residency trained/board-certified physicians.
All physicians at the Atlanta VA Medical Center are strongly encouraged to hold an Emory School of Medicine faculty appointment in a clinical department. The Emory Department of Emergency Medicine has been working with the Atlanta VAMC to enhance management and assume complete responsibility for staffing the Emergency Department at the Atlanta VA Medical Center.
