A baccalaureate degree completed from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States or Canada.

Above-average performance in the required premedical prerequisite coursework.

A minimum overall and science prerequisite GPA of 3.1 (current GPA of those accepted 3.5+). 8 hours of Anesthesia or observation (MD, CAA or CRNA). Documentation of Familiarity Form

Those candidates who completed baccalaureate degrees from college outside of the U.S./Canada must complete all REQUIRED AA prerequisites with a U.S. or Canadian regionally accredited institution.
Application process

A complete and competitive CASAA online application should be submitted as early as possible. Only those applications that meet or exceed the minimum requirements will be considered for review by the Admissions Selection Committee.

Applicants should accurately report grades in CASAA.

The AA Program cannot modify, convert grades or recalculate the GPA information (+/- are not calculated)

Applicants may have prerequisites and academic programs in progress at the time of application. If accepted, proof of enrollment may be requested and final transcript/s will be required. With no more than four (4) prerequisite courses outstanding at the time of application.

An official offer of acceptance will be contingent upon the successful completion of all required prerequisite courses and/or academic programs by the end of the summer semester prior to the program start date. No course substitutions.

Application status updates will be sent in a timely manner via email. Check email/junk/spam regularly. Gmail address preferred.
Test scores

GRE scores (55th percentile+ in each section and 4.0+ in the writing section) or MCAT scores (502 -124+ in each subset). Education testing services

Test scores must be within five (5) years of the application deadline. Only official scores will be verified. Applicants should report the highest scores received. No more than two (2) reports.

Rolling reviewing process

The Emory AA Program practices a rolling application reviewing process, not a rolling admissions process. Early competitive and complete applications are highly recommended for early reviewing consideration.

Supporting documents and verified, complete and competitive CASAA applications will be processed for additional consideration in the order in which they are received.

The application may close to new submissions when the program reaches capacity, which may occur on or before December 1 (no new applications will be processed after close of business on December 1 (4:59 p.m. EST). Early submission encouraged.
Application references

A minimum of three (3) references must be uploaded to CASAA (professional, clinical and academic). Those who can speak to your clinical experience, academic ability or professional character.

References are considered confidential; applicants will not have access to the information provided in reference forms or letters of recommendation, and status updates regarding the applicant’s application will not be shared with a reference.

Applicants are responsible for following up with references directly.

Refrain from submitting generically prepared letters directed to other institutions or professional organizations/MD programs.

Candidate updates will not be shared with supporters of the candidate.
