Information Sessions: Another Open House session will be planned for the 2026-2027 cycle to highlight features that make the Emory University AA Program unique, share any added details regarding prerequisites, curriculum updates and clinical opportunities; and address questions about the application process. Save the date and registration information will be shared on the website and social platforms. Event recordings will be available on the website. In the meantime, please see our most recent Open House recording for general information.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Due to the high volume of applications that we receive each year, we strongly recommend that you submit your application (CASAA, Emory Documents official GRE/MCAT results, Emory shadowing form and the Emory $65.00 administrative fee). Do not wait until the deadline date.
Meeting the requirements or early submission does not guarantee an interview, but it can place your complete and competitive application into review earlier. Extensions will not be granted for late or incomplete applications.
At the time of application, applicants are welcome to be in-progress with four (4) or less required science prerequisite courses and your academic program(s). Final acceptance decisions are contingent on the successful outcomes of all outlined requirements.
Evaluate Your Competitiveness: We anticipate receiving over six hundred applications for a class of up to forty students, meaning your application must stand out. Remember quality over quantity. We carefully review each applicant in their entirety, considering academic achievements, letters of recommendation, community involvement, leadership roles, clinical and patient care exposure, work experiences and extracurricular activities. However, a solid foundation in the listed sciences, along with a competitive GPA and GRE or MCAT score, are crucial for being a competitive applicant in the pool.
Individual Evaluations: Due to the overwhelming interest and the volume of applications we receive, we cannot assess or provide feedback on individual credentials/transcripts or applications to determine competitiveness before submission. Please refer to our website for comprehensive information about the qualifications of successful applicants, including GPA ranges, prerequisite coursework requirements and recommended clinical experiences. This information should help you evaluate your own competitiveness as an applicant.
