Application Review Process
All completed CASAA applications will be considered for review and will remain in review until the end of the application cycle (May-Feb.). We cannot guarantee the time frame in which your application will be reviewed – only that it will be reviewed holistically and thoroughly. No completed applicant will be rejected during the interview season and the ONLY decision that is made during this time is the decision to invite for an interview. If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted by email.
It is extremely critical that you keep your contact information updated during this time. Please also let the AA Program office know if you will be deployed for military duties and unreachable by telephone or email for any period of time during the interview season.
A personal interview is required to be considered for acceptance – there are no exceptions. It is impossible to interview all qualified applicants due to the high volume of applications we receive from exceptional candidates each year. Consequently, failure to be offered an interview is not an indication that an applicant is unsuited for an AA Program or clinical career.
The application cycle for the Emory University AA Program opens in May annually. We utilize a rolling admissions process for reviewing and interviewing applicants. Applications will be evaluated and pre-screened once they are complete, verified and deemed competitive.
We encourage applicants to submit their materials as early as possible. The most qualified candidates will be reviewed and given an invitation to interview. Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis throughout the admissions cycle and will continue until the class and wait pool are filled.
CASAA (Centralized Application Service for Anesthesiologist Assistants) is an online platform for applying to all master’s level Anesthesiologist Assistant programs across the U.S. Through CASAA, applicants can submit a single application and some set of materials to multiple programs.
