Nadine J. Kaslow, PhD, ABPP, is the first Vice Chair for Faculty Development in the Emory Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, a position she has held since 2008. In 2019, her title expanded to encompass the breadth of her roles and responsibilities, and she now serves as the Vice Chair for Faculty Development, Community and Belonging. She facilitated the creation of the Faculty Development Committee and the Promotions Committee, both of which she chairs. Under her leadership, the department has a comprehensive faculty mentorship program, faculty awards program and systematic approach to prepare faculty members for promotion. Within the department, she coordinates the quarterly faculty development seminars; monthly writing group meetings; monthly kudos that highlight accomplishments of faculty, staff and trainees within the department; and the adjunct faculty workgroup and promotions committee.
Rachel J. Ammirati, PhD, ABPP, is Assistant Vice Chair for Faculty Development – New Initiatives. In this role, she works closely with the Vice Chair for Faculty Development, Community and Belonging on creating, implementing and evaluating new faculty development initiatives in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. An active member of the Faculty Development Committee, Ammirati leads the department’s Ambassador Program and Peer Mentoring Program.
Erica D. Marshall-Lee, PhD, ABPP, is Assistant Vice Chair for Faculty Development – Community and Belonging. In this role, she works closely with the Vice Chair of Faculty Development, Community and Belonging to support and build the faculty development community and belonging portfolio in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences including the efforts of the Dialogue, Integrity, Service and Community Committee; Resilience, Education and Access for Community Health Committee; Work-Life Balance Committee; Wellness Committee; and The Atlanta Behavioral Health Advocates.
