Residents have dedicated time during their training to engage with Distinction curricula, which may include additional clinical opportunities, multidisciplinary projects, and, in the case of the Global Health Distinction, international travel. Residents who successfully achieve distinctions receive special recognition on their diplomas and are afforded additional opportunities during fellowship application or when seeking postgraduate employment.
Our Distinction Programs were developed by Department of Medicine leaders. These faculty serve as mentors and advisors and facilitate our residents' success in these specialized tracks.
