eGNA Genetic Nutrition ECHO Traineeships

About ECHO

Genetic Nutrition ECHO Traineeships are the newest component being offered by the electronic Genetic Nutrition Academy (eGNA). eGNA was created in2017 by Rani H. Singh, PhD, RD at Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Human Genetics, Division of Medical Genetics (Atlanta, GA, U.S.A) in order to address the gaps in metabolic specialty training among metabolic dietitians and other clinical providers of patients with inherited metabolic disorders (IMDs).

Our eGNA team is expanding case-based learning using Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) an all-teach-all-learn collaborative model to enhance medical education and care management, by offering Genetic Nutrition ECHO Traineeships. Participation is free. This 12-week traineeship will increase the knowledge of providers treating patients with inherited metabolic disorders.
