My medical school education was based at a safety-net, county hospital and I wanted to be at a residency program where the mission of which is to not only serve the disenfranchised and provide humanistic care to a diverse patient population, but also have the support and resources of a strong academic institution. I completed my away rotation here, truly amazed by the high acuity of care, large volume, complex pathology, and awesome residents and mentors found at Grady and Emory hospitals.Interest within EM?

Continue developing clinical knowledge/skills throughout residency and explore my passion in global health/social EM whether that is through a fellowship, research, and/or advocacy work
What would you be doing if you weren’t in Emergency Medicine?
Either work in health care policy or be an elementary school teacher
