Why Emory EM?
I wanted a residency experience in an urban, county hospital, servicing a diverse population and those that may not have access to consistent health care. Bringing quality, humanistic healthcare to such underserved populations is something I’ve been passionate about since starting clinical practice. I was also looking for a program that would hone my leadership skills, and place an emphasis on diversity and advocacy, to help me become both a better doctor and a better person – Emory is a perfect fit! Atlanta has the added benefits of the CDC close by with my interest in toxicology, as well as proximity to family.
Interest within EM?
Toxicology, Medical Education, Mentorship
5- year plan
Get through residency! I'll consider a fellowship in toxicology or medical education, but I'd ultimately like to get into student affairs to work with and mentor future medical students or residents
